Gimli is the largest Icelandic settle- ment outside of Iceland itself and has celebrated its Icelandic heritage for over 100 years with “íslendingadagurinn”. It is an attractive vacation area because of its history and culture, and its location on Lake Winnipeg. If you are looking for sun, sand and the lake (more like an ocean) this is the place to visit.
